About us
Cler’s products are built on technology with more than two decades of experience in centrifugal separation from Alfa Laval, a company with over 150 years of expertise in liquid separation. Over the years, their research teams perfected how centrifugal forces can be used to filter air from tiny liquid droplets, such as those found in crankcase ventilation from diesel engines.
The foundation of Cler is built on this same technology platform. R&D and Innovation Directors from Alfa Laval took the technology further, developing it to remove not only liquids, but also dry airborne particles such as viruses, bacteria, and dust. This evolution later became the company Cler.
Since 2021, Cler has operated full-time with a clear goal: to democratize access to clean indoor air.
Cler is a Swedish deep-tech company pioneering a new era in air purification with our proprietary Perpetual Filtration Technology (PFT). Our mission is clear — eliminate the world’s reliance on disposable air filters by delivering a maintenance-free, energy-efficient, and sustainable solution for even the most demanding environments.
We aim to set a new global standard for air filtration and not just supplying products, but redefining how the world cleans its air. The result? Less waste. Lower CO₂ emissions. Cleaner air for everyone.
Current filtration technologies cannot achieve this vision. To meet today’s air quality targets, buildings typically require high-grade filters that consume large amounts of energy and need frequent replacement, making them costly and unsustainable. The reality is stark: according to the WHO, less than 10% of indoor environments globally meet its recommended air quality guidelines, and compliance with EU indoor air quality requirements remains far from universal.
Cler’s patented centrifugal separation technology is designed to change this. By reducing energy consumption, minimizing maintenance, and maintaining high filtration efficiency, we make it possible to deliver clean indoor air to everyone, not just to those who can afford today’s expensive solutions.
Our PFT combines high centrifugal forces, a unique lamella disc design, and a patented self-cleaning process that continuously removes particles from the system in a single step. This enables efficient continuous air filtration down to PM0.5 without consumables or manual handling, delivering consistently ultra-clean air at lower cost, with no waste and zero maintenance downtime.
